Covered California open enrollment ends March 31, 2014. Unless you have a qualifying event (marriage, divorce, birth of a child, etc), you will not be able to enroll on an individual health insurance plan until October of this year for a January 1, 2015 effective date.

For an April 1st effective date, you must apply by March 15th. For a May 1st effective date, you must apply between March 16th and March 31st.
